Ceramic Artists<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The word ceramics <\/em>derives from the Greek word, keramikos<\/em> meaning “pottery,” which in turn comes from keramos, <\/em>meaning “potter’s clay.” Clay was the earliest form of material used for traditional ceramic products that were shaped and subjected to heat, and tableware and decorative ceramics are generally still made this way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ceramic art has a wide variety of subjects, \u00a0from \u00a0traditional to the unusual, from the serene to the humorous, ceramic artists use the earth to mold their creations and invite us to touch and behold.<\/span><\/p>\n
