As many of you know, William or \u201cBill\u201d or \u201cDad,\u201d spent most of his lifetime creating beautiful works or art. Born in Dearborn, Michigan in 1930, William went on to receive his B.S.M.E. at the Lawrence Institute of Technology after already attending both the Melzinger Art School and the Society of Arts and Crafts.<\/span><\/p>\n

For thirty-eight years, William was employed at General Motors in the Design department. He was a member of the Scarab Club of Detroit for over fifteen years, and previously Co-owned and Gallery Director for Gallery North<\/em> in Mt. Clemens, Mullaly-Matisse Gallery<\/em> in Birmingham, and the now,\u00a0Mullaly\u2019s 128 Gallery<\/strong> in Elk Rapids.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout his career William Mullaly was honored with many solo shows and awards in juried shows including those at the Scarab Club, Arts & Apples<\/em> in Rochester, University of Michigan Rackham Galleries, Grand Rapids Art Museum<\/em> and the Pontiac Creative Arts Center<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

An original oil painter and sculptor, William retired from General Motors and began his gallery experience in Elk Rapids, exploring watercolor, acrylic, metalsmithing and ceramics.<\/span><\/p>\n

William F. Mullaly passed away in 2003.<\/span><\/p>\n

This page highlights some of the many pieces currently held in private collections around the country. There are numerous other pieces in the Gallery, as well as in the private residence.<\/span><\/p>\n
