He received his Bachelor of Arts in Glass\/Ceramics from Cal State Fullerton University in 1983, followed by his Master&#8217;s in glass in 1985. After graduating, he worked as a production glass blower for several studios in California while continuing his studies with several well-known national and international glass artists including Dick Marquis at Haystack School of Crafts in 1990 and with Lino Tagliapietra in 1991.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;I have an affection for art. I create with ceramics and glass. Affection for art is a form of hope. Art wants life to be better than it is, not more virtuous: cleaner, dressier, more certain of its lines.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Artists know where they wish to be, even if they have no sure idea how to get there. Art as understanding, is art in the process of understanding.
