While maintaining a broad production line and increasing his focus on one-of-a-kind and commission work, Robert Burch has been working in blown glass since 1971.

Inspired by a man blowing glass in a little cabin out in the North Carolina woods, Burch instantly hooked on the magic, sensuality and energy of the moving molten glass. From then on, his goal in life was to get as close as he could to glass and his inspirations rung from his natural surroundings and ability to further enhance the beauty of glass and the forms and colors it takes on in its molten state.

In 1978, he moved his first glassblowing studio in Plainfield, Vermont to its current home in a 200-year-old Putney barn. Burch’s company, Brandywine Glassworks, currently supplies over 200 shops and galleries nationwide with exquisite vases, perfume bottles, paperweights and sculptures, each hand-blown and one-of-a-kind.

Mullaly’s 128 Studio & Gallery offers many of Burch’s colorful and unique paperweights and perfume bottles for that special somebody, perfect gift and yourself.
