Jan Benda, Founder of Krystyna Glass Ltd. is originally from the Czech Republic, where for 15-years he perfected skills with many glass blowing masters. In 1969, Benda graduated from the Technical Glass Blowing Institute in the Czech Republic with a Journeyman Diploma.

In 1987, with his wife and inspiration, Krystyna, Benda opened a small glass blowing studio located on the beautiful shores of the Sunshine Cast in British Columbia, Canada. Together, Krystyna helps her husband combine his technical skills with his artistic creativity to develop and perfect his own style. Each piece is his original design and is created free-hand without a mold. All pieces, when finished, are signed by Jan Benda.
